'Our Mission Consists of Exclusively Killing' - How Sudan's Vicious Militia Conducted a Massacre

Combatants laugh as they move on the bed of a transport truck, speeding past a series of several lifeless forms and moving in the direction of the sinking Sudanese sun.

"Observe such work. See this instance of mass destruction," a fighter cheers.

The fighter smiles as he turns the camera on himself and his fellow fighters, their RSF identification on display: "They will all perish like this."

The men are rejoicing over a mass killing that relief organizations suspect claimed the lives of in excess of 2,000 individuals in the African city of el-Fasher in recent weeks.

A Community Severed from the Outside

After maintaining the city under blockade for approximately two years, from the summer the militia moved to consolidate its control and prevent access for the remaining residents.
