Loyal fans of the pop star are calling for that a person who jumped a barrier and grabbed the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway flanked by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records indicated that he was due to attend court on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed includes clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last winter.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over the Star's Well-being

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said another message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while others called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In footage shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was touched by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had lined up to see the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of fans had congregated in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had queued for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be released on the 21st of November, is the second of a dual interpretation of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, securing two for excellent wardrobe and production design.
