The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.

The influential game designer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, as reported by.
